Superior wins ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ 2015

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers has awarded Superior the award of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the Wessex Region Engineering Excellence Awards 2015. This was presented to staff members at the awards ceremony on 9 October 2015. These awards celebrated engineering talent from across the region, showcasing some groundbreaking work undertaken by individuals and organisations across multiple industrial sectors.

The black tie event was held at Winchester Guildhall and brought together engineers from across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. The evening was hosted by Joe Crowley, roving reporter for BBC’s The One Show and television personality and racing driver Tiff Needell was guest speaker, along with Professor Richard Folkson, the Institution’s President.

The award of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ recognises outstanding achievement in the Wessex Region and Superior won the award through demonstrating exceptional manufacturing skills and the quality of its manufactured products. This includes high volume production of a range of seals using lean and efficient processes and tools.
