Superior employee recognised for 25 years’ service

The logistics and production manager at Dorset-based manufacturer Superior has been praised for his loyalty and dedication after completing 25 years’ service at the family-run firm.

Simon Clark started his career with Superior – a manufacturer of high integrity o-rings and seals – in 1996 at the age of 21 as a logistics trainee. Simon was based at the company’s only production facility at the time on the Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Wimborne, following an introduction to the company by his father who worked as a subcontractor to Superior.

Simon joins a 17-strong list of employees who have been with the company for more than 25 years – with six of those completing an impressive 30 years plus and two completing 45 years – and was presented with a Rolex watch to mark the special milestone.

Following comprehensive and continuous in-house training, Simon has moved through the ranks of the company and has been part of the management team as logistics and production manager for almost 15 years. Overseeing a team of 20 across all four Superior production facilities, Simon plays a pivotal role in setting production schedules and driving the logistical arm of the company.

Simon said: “I wish to thank Tim and the Superior team for their recognition.  Since starting as a trainee more than two decades ago, I have always had the full support of the company.  A career with Superior really is superior. It is a great place to grow, learn and develop long-term and I’m looking forward to what the next 25 years will bring to my career.”

Tim Brown MBE, managing director at Superior, added: “I’d like to thank Simon for his dedication and loyalty to Superior.  Simon is a key part of the Superior team and it has been wonderful to see his career flourish with us.

“With 17 employees completing more than 25 years’ service we are thrilled to have a happy and motivated team which enables us to offer high levels of service across the company. We aim to make working at Superior as enjoyable, rewarding and supportive as possible. We offer competitive salaries and a ‘family’ environment, as well as additional benefits and an award-winning training and development programme and this helps to drive employee retention.”
